One reference for how Casa Bada Tuscany looks, sounds and shows up, so the website rebuild, brochures and quotes all feel like the same place. Built from casabada.it and the CasaBada Tuscany Weddings Brochure. Instagram is out of scope for now.

Our story

Casa Bada Tuscany began at the end of the 1990s, when Suzy (from Great Britain, a lover of art and history) and Salvatore (from Sicily, a builder, decorator and cook) bought a run-down farmhouse in the hills above Pontassieve, in San Martino, to raise their four sons: Alessandro, Lorenzo, Antonio and Charlie. Salvatore rebuilt it stone by stone. The family still lives here with a cat (Willy), a dog (Kira), and still presses its own organic olive oil from the 200 trees he planted.
100 meters down the hill stands a 1200s church compound. It was in ruins, and the family restored it to preserve the history and heritage of the area. Today it is part of Casa Bada Tuscany. The restoration finished at the end of 2026, and from 2027 the church hosts intimate weddings, elopements and celebrations. It is also an event space for retreats, personal chef experiences (dinners and cooking classes) and wine tastings. The family story is now growing into a more structured hospitality business, without changing what makes it special.
How to use the story: lead with the family and the land, not the amenities. Suzy and Salvatore, the olive harvest and the restored church are the things no other villa can copy.
Brand pillars
| Pillar | What it means | Proof we can show |
|---|---|---|
| Family | You are welcomed by the people who live here, not by staff. | Olive picking, Tuscan meals, Suzy and Salvatore living next to the villa. |
| Land | Circular, organic farming in the heart of Chianti Rufina. | Olive oil (30+ years), Frescobaldi Nipozzano vineyards across the valley. |
| Table | Food is how we host. | Wood fired pizza oven and Salvatores local cooking, garden to fire to table, long tables, local wine. |
| Celebration | A setting you will not find anywhere else for the moments that matter. | The restored 1200s church, outdoor ceremony with valley views, string light dinners, live music. |

Voice and tone
We write like the family talks: warm, simple and specific. Short sentences. Real details (the hammock chair, the Vespa, the hand lettered name cards) instead of big adjectives. We invite, we never push.
| We are | We are not | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Warm and personal | Corporate or salesy | Yes: Be treated like family at Casa Bada Tuscany. No: Premium luxury accommodation solutions. |
| Unhurried | Loud or urgent | Yes: Tuscany has a way of slowing everything down. No: LAST CHANCE, BOOK NOW!!! |
| Specific and sensory | Vague and generic | Yes: Wood fired margherita. Cold spritz. Menu written just for today. No: Amazing food and drinks. |
| Quietly confident | Boastful | Yes: Few venues in Tuscany offer a ceremony space like this one. No: The best venue in Italy. |
| Lightly playful | Jokey or slangy | Yes: Now that onetime pigsty is a luxe kitchen (talk about a glow up). No: OMG vibes are immaculate. |
Words we use
- Family, home, welcome, table, long table, olive grove, vineyards, Chianti Rufina, the valley, golden hour, slow, unhurried, by hand, from the garden, the church, intimate.
Words we avoid
- Luxury resort, five star, hotel, cheap, deal, exclusive offer, epic, hidden gem (overused), anything that sounds like a booking platform.
Language
- English first for weddings and stays (the buyers are international). Italian versions for the website and for local events. Never mix the two languages in one piece, write two versions.
- Place names always in full the first time: Chianti Rufina, San Martino, Pontassieve, Florence.
Visual identity
Logo
- Wordmark CASABADA in thin geometric capitals between two symmetrical flourishes. Primary version: white on Terracotta.
- Secondary versions: terracotta on cream, and white on photography (only over a calm, dark area of the image).
- Do not stretch, recolour outside the palette, add shadows, or remove the flourishes. Keep clear space at least the height of the letter C on every side.
- Master logo file: Casa Bada Logo.png in Ale's Drive (Logos folder), 3300 x 2550 px, terracotta on a transparent background. Open the logo file. No vector version (SVG, AI or PDF) was found in Drive.
Official logo file (3300 x 2550 px, transparent background). This is the only master file we have; there is no vector version yet.
Colour palette
These are the colours already in use. No other colours. Two shades of terracotta exist today: the master logo file and the website use #9C4136, the brochure uses a darker #841D0D. CONFIRM which one is the master. The website also uses a gold (#C4A67D) for small details.
Typography
Photography
The photography is the brand. The best images show a real moment in a real place, in soft natural light, with the valley behind it.
| Do | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Golden hour and blue hour: string lights, candles, the valley turning blue. | Midday harsh light and blown out skies. |
| People mid moment: laughing, cooking, toasting, Salvatore at the oven or drum kit. | Stiff posed groups looking at the camera. |
| Textures: stone walls, chestnut beams, cotto floors, wrought iron, linen. | Empty rooms with no life or styling. |
| Food from above or at table height, with hands in frame. | Close up food with no context of the place. |
| Wide shots that show the view, then a detail shot from the same scene. | Heavy filters, HDR, oversaturated greens. |
| Real guests and the family, with consent. | Stock photos or AI generated images of the property or people. |
- Edit style: warm, natural, slightly soft, true skin tones. Keep the whites creamy, not blue.
- Always credit the photographer and suppliers.
- Content gap: most of our best photos come from one wedding shoot (@mattcarrphotography). We need new material for 2027: the apartments styled, olive picking, Tuscan meals, the restored church, winter by the fire, the family.
